This 9000 square foot building opened in 2004. It contains a 60×50 ft.general purpose auditorium and a 20×50 ft. gallery. The auditoriumcan be configured for “flat floor” usages and for raised seatingperformances. Flat floor configurations can seat up to 190 people attables or in seated rows. Raised seating theatrical performances seat 140 people. An additional 50 people may be seating along thebalcony rail for music performances. The auditorium has extremelygood acoustics, requiring no amplification for stage or musicalperformances. Theatrical lighting and sound amplification is available where needed. The gallery and walls of the auditorium areused for art exhibition. The performance space also houses a boxoffice and restrooms.
The 750 square foot Art Studio & Classroom is located in the old Botello lumber yard garage. It was built from lumber scavenged from the 1938 hurricane. Classes and workshops in the visual arts are taught here year round. The art studio is also used for play and music rehearsals. Adjacent to the classroom is the 500 square foot scene shop used for the fabrication of theatrical sets.
The 1800 square foot “Botello” house features four artist studios and a b&w photography darkroom. The studios are used by resident artists and the darkroom for individual work, classes and workshops. Additionally there is some common space, used for small group workshops and meetings.
The “Savenelli” house is a 6-room 1200 square foot building used for administrative and storage purposes.
